Ok, so I'm usually person #2. But I think that's the bad thing for me right now! Instead of defaulting to #1 because of extreme life situation (dissertation due in 3 weeks!!!), I've done nothing. I think #1 is more for maintaining, and #2 for losing. I'd be happy to stop gaining right now!

Both versions of "self talk" were all too familiar. I think my pattern has been to cycle through #1 and #2 -sometimes with long phases of nothing in between! Actually, the blog -and having to buy a bigger pair of jeans- really inspired me to get back (and stay in) in the game. Thanks guys!
