Posh and I were up way too late on Friday night/Saturday morning...we agreed to share our food diaries every day this week! I really like the Mayo Clinic Healthy Weight Pyramid Tool BUT I'll start out with a rough log -small goals, you know? So... just comparing our lists of foods for today... I think it's obvious why you're your size and I'm my size!! Sheesh... Rice Crust Spinach Pizza??? Are you serious??? The handful of walnuts... was that a snack? the entre for a meal? What? The really funny part about this is, that this isn't even you on a diet! This is you eating on a regular day!!
Funny, the pizza is actually pretty high calorie + fat + sodium. Go figure, right? The log is already telling me what I already knew. Too much sugar, not nearly enough fruit and vegetables!
Yeah, I noticed my long list of snacks and lack of fruit...could stand to have some more veggies too...
Food logs are so revealing and helpful. It's totally different when you see things in black and white. I have to say your menu has total "cali flavor" very healthy and organicky. I'm so inspired to go to Whole Foods now.
How did the trip affect eating for you?
I did OK with eating on this trip. I think the food log made me more conscious of what I was eating. Overall, my eating habits were pretty similar to what I was doing here at home -a work in progress! What REALLY took a big hit on the trip was exercise.
